In March 2025, Forum for the Future published an article “Atutu powers-up communities to harness their own energy” highlighting how Atutu’s model of distributed, community-led solutions can create a just and resilient energy future.

In August 2024, Atutu’s Amplify Healthcare program was featured in Forbes “How Is Solar Energy Solving A Hospital Energy Crisis In Myanmar?” . Atutu’s co-founder Lin Thu Hein was interviewed and details the steps it took to launch the program.

In May 2023, Atutu won the Greater Goods Award given out by Microgrid Knowledge. Out of the four possible tracks, we were awarded the Remote Microgrid award for our microgrid project in a Northern Myanmar boarding school.

In March 2023, Atutu took home the award for “Enabling Technology” track at the IEEE EBL Global competition. In addition to the award, we also got special recognition for social impact potential of our work.

In December 2022, Atutu was selected to be part of Rally Social Enterprise Accelerator’s Winter 2023 cohort. Atutu will be joining the Accelerator as we enter the growth phase of our energy access work.

In the book about how changemakers, philanthropists, and technologists can build an equitable world, our work was highlighted as a case study in Chapter 7: Changing Conditions for Communities.
